We Before Me
πWeekly Inspirationπ
Itβs been a hell of a week in Southern California π. Sending strength, love, and prayers to everyone affected by these devastating fires. Most in LA have been touched by this or know someone deeply impacted. The First Responders are truly heroes.
I have witnessed Los Angeles pull together in a common cause to support our grieving neighbors. Communities have opened their arms to new residents, people have rescued and fed animals, and the outpouring of donations has been breathtaking. It feels good to help and be generous. It feels right to meet the moment and offer assistance and support in any way that is helpful. It feels good to put the collective ahead of ourselves.
For readers not in Southern California, we feel your love from afar. The tender texts/emails/messages checking in with us this week have meant a lot. It feels good to be remembered and checked on. It is easier now, than ever before in history, to connect and get in touch with the people that you love. Reach out!
There are so many ways to get involved right now to help with disaster relief. I encourage you to find a cause that speaks to your family and jump in.
Ask Yourself:
What stirs in me when there is a natural disaster?
What do I model for my children?
Has Mother Nature reminded me of my humanity?
Is it easy for me to be generous of spirit?
Am I a helper?
If not, why not? Any small shifts that I want to make?
What might it feel like to live a life with a flair of βwe before meβ?
Be well!
