About Brianna

Brianna “Bri” Barnes is an Associate Clinical Social Worker under the supervision of Leah Niehaus, LCSW. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work with a minor in Psychology from California State University, Long Beach, and went on to complete her Master’s in Social Work at the University of Southern California.

Brianna believes therapy is a collaborative journey and prioritizes meeting her clients where they are. She views therapy as a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experience with zero judgment.

Before joining Leah’s practice, Brianna provided counseling services to children at a South Bay elementary school, supporting their emotional and social well-being. She also worked at Providence Hospital in bereavement services, facilitating over 15 support groups for individuals navigating the loss of a spouse, child, or parent, in addition to providing individual grief counseling.  Brianna enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults.

Outside of the therapy room, Brianna enjoys taking Pilates classes, walking her dog, eating sushi, and making lattes for her loved ones.
